On July 22nd, City Council voted to approve the motions before it to rezone the Davies Property from RM Residential Medium to CU Commercial Urban; approve the general development plan for an upper-story mixed-use building of 276 multifamily units and 10,796 square feet of retail, office or other commercial uses on the ground floor; and approve the special exceptions for the property at 4131 Chain Bridge Road.

​City Council members Bates, Amos, and Chandler-Hall voted in favor; McQuillen, Hall, and Peterson voted against.  With the vote 3-3, Mayor Read voted in favor to break the tie.
